ERP Functional Specialist (Unit 4) (P-3)


Principal Functions

Under the Supervision of the Head, IS Business Applications, the incumbent is responsible for:

ERP solution - functional business processes support - 50%
  1. Perform functional /requirements analysis, feasibility studies and design for ERP solution based on Unit4 (e.g. human resources, payroll, Accounts Payable,  Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Planner, Travel expenses, Asset management, procurement, etc.)
  2. Advise on business process improvements and solutions to address business needs in consultation with ERP process owners, consultants and third party vendors;
  3. Review enhancements proposed to the ERP solution and advise impact on existing business processes;
  4. Facilitate the testing of the ERP systems whenever fixes or upgrades are applied, ensuring that the end to end business process testing is successfully completed. Liaising with the application Support team to ensure that any errors arising during the testing a resolved and re-tested;
  5. Implement business process changes supported by the Change Management;
  6. Maintain the testing and training material related to the ERP systems, ensuring that the documentation is kept updated whenever changes are made to the ERP systems;
  7. Prototype solutions in the sandbox as part of continuous improvement.
ERP solution - Technical support and system Administration - 40 %
  1. Respond to support calls escalated from the service desk and operational areas related to OPCW ERP/Unit4 applications;
  2. Investigate and document functional and technical problems logged by business users via OPCW's incident management system;
  3. Interact with business users  Application Management services (AMS) team, solution providers and third party vendors to troubleshoot, resolve the reported and address system performance;
  4. Maintenance of up to date calls and problem records in the appropriate service management system and ensure a timely and efficient service;
  5. Monitor data consistency and integrity in the various interfaces with Unit4 and other applications. Provide measures to prevent/fix corruption of data supplied through these interfaces;
  6. Respond to change requests, this includes carrying out an initial impact assessment, making configuration changes and coordination of testing;
  7. Support the integration from other administrative applications to the new Unit4-ERP system, including the development of data transformation tools to facilitate the integration between these applications.
Reporting and Analytics - 10%
  1. Provide technical expertise and knowledge in reviewing specifications, building reports and defining processes around report solution within the Unit4 Business world and OPCW BI / Analytics platform.
  2. Knowledge and Experience

    Education

    Essential

    Advanced university degree in Computer Sciences, Management Information Systems, Finance, and Business Administration or related. A first level university degree in combination with qualifying experience (minimum 7 years) may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Equivalent or specialised training in combination with minimum 11 years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

    Desirable

    Relative training in appropriate information technologies, database modelling, system design and application software.

    Certification

    Certification in a Project Management Methodology like Prince2 or PMBOK would be an asset.

    Experience

    Essential

    1. At least five years of related experience in the implementation of ERP solutions based on Unit4 (e.g. Human Resources, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Planner, Travel expenses, Fixed Assets, Assets Management, Procurement, etc.);
    2. At least one full cycle implementation experience in Unit4 Business World ERP;

    3. Experience in managing application support service contracts.

    Skills and Abilities (key competencies)

    1. Knowledge of Unit4 Business World ERP applications including system administration;
    2. Knowledge of Unit4 Business World ERP customisation, integration, setups and reporting tools (e.g. Analyser, Balance Tables Enquiries, Browser Enquiries, Workflow, Intellagent, Excelerator, Postback, Batch Input Format (BIF), AG16 Query, Agresso Management Console, etc.);
    3. Knowledge of/experience in the administration of SaaS;
    4. Knowledge of leading Reporting / Business Intelligence is highly desirable;
    5. Experience in data migration and application integration tools is highly desirable;
    6. High level MS SQL skills is desirable;
    7. Ability to identify client’s needs and to propose appropriate solutions;
    8. Good communications skills and ability to analyse problems and react quickly in stress situations with minimum supervision;
    9. Ability to plan and organise;
    10. Problem-solving skills;
    11. Good inter-personal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of different professional, national and cultural backgrounds;
    12. Looks at issues and/or opportunities from several points of view (customer, organization, supplier, producer, etc.);

    Language

    Fluency in English is essential and a good working knowledge of one of the other official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is desirable.
