PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS
The Human Resources Branch provides service excellence to senior managers and staff in relation to Human Resources Management, policy and staff administration. The branch provides and sustains a quality human resource and workforce management framework to ensure the Secretariat can fulfil its strategic and operational objectives efficiently and effectively.
This is achieved through human resources support in workforce planning and recruitment of personnel, in integrated support to managers and staff members in relation to performance management, conflict and dispute resolution, and grievances and disciplinary cases and by administering the terms and conditions of appointments of the Secretariat’s workforce.
This post is responsible for the provision of a high quality administrative Talent Acquisition support services provided by the Talent Acquisition, under the Talent Management section within the Human Resources Branch.
Under the supervision of the Head, Talent Acquisition (HTA) the following responsibilities will be undertaken by the post holder.
Recruitment and Selection (administrative)
Administratively support the recruitment processes in assigned areas of responsibility in accordance with and following the applicable legal framework of the OPCW and its associated Administrative Directives and current practices, to ensure a professional and smooth recruitment process from beginning to end for candidates, post owners and staff, this includes but is not limited to:
1. Partnering with recruiters and post owners to formulate effective sourcing strategies based upon the overall OPCW Sourcing guidelines and strategy.
2. Create social media content/campaigns for our outreach and sourcing efforts.
3. Liaise with the Public Affairs Branch on the publication of social media content for our sourcing efforts.
4. Under the direction of the HTA, source top talent using recruiting tools and job boards.
5. Together with Public Affairs Branch, create inspiring content based upon agreed guidelines for our paid recruiting channels and manage them to ensure full effectiveness.
6. Research and propose to the HTA new channels and trends to attract top talent for consideration by the Head HRB.
7. Keep up to date on new industry trends in relation to sourcing, and – if needed - propose to the HTA for their consideration and further evaluation new solutions to the HTA to ensure relevance of the OPCW’s sourcing approach.
8. Monitor trends and developments in sourcing tools and technologies and utilise social media for sourcing and other marketing forums to drive traffic to our website.
RECRUITING PROFILE
Education (Qualifications):
Essential: High school diploma or equivalent diploma of higher secondary education.
Experience:
Essential:
- At least three years of related experience, with one year in the area of talent acquisition/recruitment;
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative role;
- Experience with major job boards, and recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter;
- Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (e.g. recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings);
- Experience with drafting social media campaigns to connect with potential applicants;
- Demonstrated experience in a customer-servicing role.
Desirable: Previous work experience within an international organisation would be an asset.

Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is essential and a good working knowledge of one of the other official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is desirable
